PRP Hair Restoration:

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma? Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. Platelets are blood cells that contain growth factors necessary for healing functions. The components of blood can be separated, isolating the platelets and plasma. This solution is called Platelet-rich plasma or PRP.

How does PRP therapy work?

After a simple blood draw, the PRP is formed and injected into the scalp which activates the platelet to release their cellular markers including growth factors which helps repair blood vessels, promote cell growth and wound healing, and stimulate collagen production. The plasma containing high concentrations of platelets help promote hair growth by prolonging the growing phase of the hair cycle which leads to hair growth and increased thickness of the hair.
